Welded fittings do not allow re-installation, but provide almost complete tightness of the connection. The strength and tightness is largely determined by the quality of the weld. Welded fittings are used in pipelines with difficult operating conditions where leaks are unacceptable: aggressive or toxic working environment, high pressure and temperature or differences in these values, vibrations, shocks and other types of mechanical loads. They are also used in pipeline sections that do not require constant maintenance. In accordance with the installation conditions, welding fittings are used only on sections of steel pipes.
ALFA-STAR company offers the following types of welded fittings:
collars (flangings). They are used to connect sections of pipeline with different diameters and to join the end of the pipe with the wall of the capacitive equipment. Provide the highest tightness;
taps for changing the flow direction of the medium. They are supplied in two versions: seamless and electric-welded;
concentric and eccentric junctions for connecting pipeline sections with different diameters;
tees for branching or merging of medium flows are seamless and electro-welded;
elliptical steel plugs for creating dead-end sections of the pipeline.
Electric-welded bends and tees are assembled from fragments connected by welding. The presence of welding seams makes them less durable compared to seamless ones. Electric-welded fittings are used on less critical sections of the pipeline with a large diameter.
The welded fittings supplied by our company have several versions: AISI 304, AISI 316, 12(08)X18N10T. They are characterized by high mechanical strength, heat and acid resistance, chemical neutrality, durability. They are used in pipeline systems of chemical, pharmaceutical, food, pulp and paper industry, shipbuilding and other industries. Welded fittings can withstand pressure up to 10 Mpa at temperatures up to 450 °C. They are resistant to various types of mechanical loads and to the effects of aggressive environments. Welding fittings ensure long-term safe and trouble-free operation of the pipeline even in harsh conditions. All products are manufactured in accordance with Russian and international standards and have an extensive size range.
